Standard Chartered honoured at 7th National Tech and Communications Awards…

THE Chief Technology and Operations Officer for Ghana and Africa at Standard Chartered Bank, Sheikh Jobe, has been inducted into the Technology Hall of Fame at the 7th National Technology and Communications Awards.

The induction honoured Mr Jobe’s exceptional contribution to technological innovation and transformation in Ghana and Africa’s financial services sector. 

A release issued by the bank said “over the years, he has been instrumental in driving Standard Chartered’s digital agenda, embedding innovation, and strengthening the Bank’s operational resilience through technology-led solutions.”

It said Standard Chartered also emerged a multiple award winner on the night, cementing its reputation as a digital banking leader and a key enabler of Ghana’s evolving financialecosystem. 

“The bank’s recognition across several categories, Best Banking APP – SC Mobile, The Outstanding Banking Technology Innovation Award, The Transformational Banking Technology Team of the Year. 

Our Head of Wealth and Retail Banking, Yvonne Gyebi also picked the Award for the Retail Banking Innovator of the Year,” it stated.

These awards, according to the release highlight Standard Chartered’s commitment to delivering secure, seamless and innovative banking experiences to it’s clients.

Commenting on the recognition, Mr Jobe said, technology remained at the core of its strategy as it continue to reimagine banking for clients. 

It said the awards were a testament to people, the bank’s innovation culture and its relentless pursuit of excellence in enabling clients to achieve their ambitions digitally and securely.The National Technology and Communications Awards celebrate excellence and leadership in Ghana’s technology and communications space, recognising organisations and individuals driving impact through innovation.
