Times End “C” Computers wins Excellence in Innovation and Technology Award at 2025 Ghana Shippers Awards…

Times End “C” Computers Ltd. (TECC) has been recognised for its pioneering role in Ghana’s maritime digital transformation, earning the Excellence in Innovation and Technology Award at the 7th Ghana Shippers Awards held in Accra.

The honour reflects the company’s long-standing impact in strengthening operational efficiency and safety across the country’s shipping, clearing, and forwarding ecosystem.

The award celebrates TECC’s sustained investment in technology solutions tailored to the maritime sector. The company is widely remembered for its key role in the nationwide sensitisation on the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) regulation in 2016, following the global enforcement of SOLAS guidelines. Working alongside the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, the Ghana Shippers Authority, the Ship Owners and Agents Association of Ghana and Maersk Line, TECC supported extensive engagements to prepare industry players for VGM compliance. During one of the sessions, the Senior Vice President of the World Shipping Council, Lars Kjaer, joined TECC via Skype to support presentations and respond to questions, a moment that strengthened industry readiness and improved safety practices at the ports.

TECC has also contributed significantly to stakeholder alignment on maritime measurement standards. The company played a role in establishing the Metrology and Measurement National Technical Committee (TC17) Subcommittee on Maritime under the Ghana Standards Authority, where it served as an active member supporting efforts to harmonise national frameworks.

As part of its ongoing drive for innovation, TECC is set to introduce Cheemoh, a new software solution designed to integrate weighing systems, including weighbridges and other industrial platforms, directly into an organisation’s enterprise resource planning tools. The system aims to improve operational accuracy, enhance workflow efficiency and support real-time decision making, with an optional VGM module for organisations that require automated Verified Gross Mass processing.

The award recognises TECC’s ability to build secure data management systems and deliver digital solutions that support long-term industry growth. It also reflects the company’s role as a trusted technology partner within the maritime value chain.

This year’s Ghana Shippers Awards, organised by Globe Productions Limited, brought together leaders across the maritime and aviation sectors under the theme “Blue Ideas, Bold Moves: Innovating Ghana’s Maritime Value Chain for the Future.”

Reacting to the honour, the CEO of TECC, Emmanuel Odartey, described the win as a major milestone for the company. “This is a massive win for us all at Times End ‘C’ Computers. It will encourage us toward even greater achievements. We dedicate this to our cherished customers in the shipping sector,” he said.
