Nigerian Afrobeats star and entrepreneur Mr Eazi has once again shown his love and support for Ghana’s entertainment industry, pledging to invest $2 million to help build proper indoor and outdoor event venues in Accra, provided the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) grants him land.
Mr Eazi, who began plying his music trade in Ghana, made this passionate call during his headline performance at Detty Rave 2025 on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Untamed Empire off the Spintex Road. He paused his performance to urge the Ghana Tourism Authority to support Ghana’s creative industry by making land available for world-class event spaces.
According to the emPawa Africa founder, some authorities may doubt his seriousness, which is why he publicly pledged the $2 million to prove his full commitment.
“I need to tell the Ghana Tourism Authority that we need proper venues for events in Ghana. I also want to make it clear to the Authority that I need land for both an outdoor and an indoor venue. If the GTA thinks I am not serious, I am pledging $2 million. What I am saying is simple: I need a space in Accra to build a proper rave yard, and I will also build a 3,000-capacity indoor events venue,” he said.
Detty Rave, widely regarded as one of Africa’s defining Afrodance music festivals, returned this year with its boldest evolution yet under the theme “Raise the Heat.” Untamed Empire was transformed into a powerful playground of light, sound, and energy as thousands of excited ravers enjoyed unforgettable performances.
The 2025 edition marked the seventh staging of Detty Rave and featured an impressive lineup including Davido, J Hus, SPINALL, Nooriyah, Chichi DJ, Ciza, DJ Aroma, and Choplife Soundsystem.
