Gold Fields Tarkwa Tennis Club emerged champions of the 2025 Farmers Day Triangular Tennis Tournament after a dominant display against Ho Tennis Club and Winneba Tennis Club in Tarkwa.

The annual competition, held to mark Farmers’ Day celebrations, featured three clubs competing in a round-robin format, with each team playing three singles matches and four doubles matches against the others, producing a total of 21 matches.

Playing on home court, Gold Fields Tarkwa asserted its superiority throughout the tournament, winning five singles and seven doubles matches to accumulate 12 points and comfortably secure the overall title.

Their consistent performance in both singles and doubles underlined the depth of talent within the host club, as they combined technical skill with strong teamwork to outplay their opponents.

Ho Tennis Club finished second with six points, recording two singles victories and four wins in the doubles category to edge past Winneba Tennis Club.

Winneba Tennis Club placed third with three points, all earned from singles matches, and was commended for its fighting spirit and competitive showing.

The tournament provided an opportunity for players from the three clubs to celebrate Farmers Day through sport, strengthen inter club relations and promote tennis development within the participating regions.

Organisers expressed satisfaction with the level of competition and sportsmanship displayed, describing the event as a successful addition to the Farmers Day activities.
