Mobi9tech, On Point Virtual Assistants unveil Ghana’s first AI and automation training pilot…

Ghana is set to take a major step toward becoming a regional technology powerhouse as Mobi9tech Digital Agency and On Point Virtual Assistants announce the country’s first AI and automation training pilot programme.

The initiative, described by its organisers as a landmark in West Africa’s digital transformation, is scheduled to begin in November 2025.

The 12-week intensive programme will certify three Ghanaian students in two globally recognised automation platforms, GoHighLevel and Make.com. Organisers say the pilot is designed to create immediate pathways to international employment and significantly boost the earning potential of graduates.

According to the programme outline, participants will undergo a hybrid learning model that blends self-paced online lessons with weekly live instructor review sessions. The structure, organisers noted, is meant to increase completion rates while allowing students to learn at their own pace.

The Programme Director, Janine Hudson, described the initiative as a turning point in digital workforce development. “This is not just training, it is economic transformation. We are giving Ghanaian professionals the same certifications and skills that command forty thousand to eighty thousand dollars annually in international markets. Our graduates will compete globally from day one,” she said.

Hudson said that by the end of the programme, graduates would secure dual professional certifications and gain access to jobs with On Point Virtual Assistants, supporting global clients and earning in USD. Entry-level roles begin at about 500 dollars per month, with experienced automation specialists earning more than 6,000 dollars monthly.

“Ghana has incredible talent that simply needs the right platform and skills. We are not just teaching software, we are opening doors to global remote work opportunities that can transform entire families and communities,” she added.

The programme features a structured 12-week format, 24 hours of live instruction, career placement opportunities and an instructor-assistant track for top performers. Organisers highlight that the hybrid model tackles the challenge of low completion rates common in online education.

“Most online courses have completion rates under 10 percent. Our weekly instructor review sessions create structured deadlines and provide immediate expert guidance when students face challenges. This accountability framework is proven to dramatically increase success rates,” Hudson explained.

The pilot forms part of a larger plan to train more than 200 Ghanaian professionals in AI and automation technologies, positioning Ghana as a regional hub for digital expertise. The organisers say the country’s stable governance, expanding tech ecosystem and English-speaking talent pool make it ideal for such a digital skills initiative.

First-year earnings for participants are projected between 24,000 and 42,000 dollars, reflecting what organisers describe as an unprecedented return on investment. They believe the model could be adopted across Africa and other emerging markets to bridge digital skills gaps and boost economic mobility.

The three-student pilot begins in November 2025 and will be evaluated for scalability. Applications will be open through a competitive selection process focusing on commitment, aptitude and alignment with programme objectives.
